حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي يَزِيدَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سِبَاعِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ كُرْزٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ عَنِ الْغُلَامِ شَاتَانِ مِثْلَانِ وَعَنِ الْجَارِيَةِ شَاةٌ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا هُوَ الْحَدِيثُ وَحَدِيثُ سُفْيَانَ وَهْمٌ.

Urdu Translation

ام کرز رضی اللہ عنہا کہتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( عقیقے میں ) لڑکے کی طرف سے برابر کی دو بکریاں ہیں، اور لڑکی کی طرف سے ایک بکری ہے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہی دراصل حدیث ہے، اور سفیان کی حدیث ( نمبر: ۲۸۳۵ ) وہم ہے ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated Umm Kurz: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Two sheep which resemble each other are to be sacrificed for a boy and one for a girl. Abu Dawud said: This is a sound tradition, and the tradition narrated by Sufyan is misunderstanding.
