حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي حَكِيمٍ الْوَاسِطِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ بُرَيْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَخَوَيْنِ اخْتَصَمَا إِلَى يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ يَهُودِيٌّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُسْلِمٌ فَوَرَّثَ الْمُسْلِمَ مِنْهُمَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الْأَسْوَدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّمُعَاذًا حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ الْإِسْلَامُ يَزِيدُ وَلَا يَنْقُصُ فَوَرَّثَ الْمُسْلِمَ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن بریدہ کہتے ہیں کہ   دو بھائی اپنا جھگڑا یحییٰ بن یعمر کے پاس لے گئے ان میں سے ایک یہودی تھا، اور ایک مسلمان، انہوں نے مسلمان کو میراث دلائی، اور کہا کہ ابوالاسود نے مجھ سے بیان کیا ہے کہ ان سے ایک شخص نے بیان کیا کہ معاذ رضی اللہ عنہ نے اس سے بیان کیا کہ میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: اسلام بڑھتا ہے گھٹتا نہیں ہے پھر انہوں نے مسلمان کو ترکہ دلایا۔

English Translation

Narrated Muadh ibn Jabal: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: Islam increases and does not diminish. He, therefore, appointed a Muslim heir (of a non-Muslim).
