Baab Ghulam Ki Azadi Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا شَيْبَانُ بْنُ فَرُّوخَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ الْمُغِيرَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وُلِدَ لِي اللَّيْلَةَ غُلَامٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَسَمَّيْتُهُ بِاسْمِ أَبِي إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَكَرَ الْحَدِيثَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَنَسٌ:‏‏‏‏ لَقَدْ رَأَيْتُهُ يَكِيدُ بِنَفْسِهِ بَيْنَ يَدَيْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَدَمَعَتْ عَيْنَا رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ تَدْمَعُ الْعَيْنُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَحْزَنُ الْقَلْبُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَا نَقُولُ إِلَّا مَا يَرْضَى رَبُّنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّا بِكَ يَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ لَمَحْزُونُونَ .

Urdu Translation

انس بن مالک رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: آج رات میرے یہاں بچہ پیدا ہوا، میں نے اس کا نام اپنے والد ابراہیم کے نام پر رکھا ، اس کے بعد راوی نے پوری حدیث بیان کی، انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے اس بچے کو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی گود میں موت و حیات کی کشمکش میں مبتلا دیکھا، تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی آنکھوں سے آنسو بہہ پڑے، آپ نے فرمایا: آنکھ آنسو بہا رہی ہے، دل غمگین ہے ۱؎، اور ہم وہی کہہ رہے ہیں جو ہمارے رب کو پسند آئے، اے ابراہیم! ہم تمہاری جدائی سے غمگین ہیں ۲؎ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Anas bin Malik: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: A child was born to me at night and I named him Ibrahim after his. He then narrated the rest of the tradition. Anas said: I saw it at the point of the death before the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Tears began to fall from the eyes of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He said: The eye weeps and the heart grieves, but we say only what our Lord is pleased with, and we are grieved for you, Ibrahim.
