Baab Ghulam Ki Azadi Ke Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَكَفِّنُوهُ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ. قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ سُلَيْمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ:‏‏‏‏ ثَوْبَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو:‏‏‏‏ ثَوْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ ابْنُ عُبَيْدٍ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ أَيُّوبُ:‏‏‏‏ فِي ثَوْبَيْنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ عَمْرٌو:‏‏‏‏ فِي ثَوْبَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏زَادَ سُلَيْمَانُ وَحْدَهُ:‏‏‏‏ وَلَا تُحَنِّطُوهُ.

Urdu Translation

اس سند سے بھی ابن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما سے اسی طرح کی حدیث مروی ہے اس میں ہے کہ اسے دو کپڑوں میں کفناؤ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: سلیمان نے کہا ہے کہ ایوب کی روایت میں «ثوبين» کے بجائے «ثوبيه» ( اسی کے دونوں کپڑے میں ) ہے اور عمرو نے «ثوبين» کا لفظ نقل کیا ہے۔ ابو عبید نے کہا کہ ایوب نے «في ثوبين» اور عمرو نے «في ثوبيه» کہا ہے، اور تنہا سلیمان نے «ولا تحنطوه» ( اسے خوشبو نہ لگاؤ ) کا اضافہ کیا ہے۔

English Translation

A similar tradition has also been narrated by Ibn Abbas through a different chain of narrators. This version has: Shroud him in two garments. Abu Dawud said: The narrator Sulaiman said the Ayyub said: his two garments, Amr said: tow garments, Ibn Ubaid said that Ayyub said: in two garments and Amr said: in his two garments. Sulaiman alone added: do not put any perfume on him.
