حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَرَأْتُ عَلَى أَنَسِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أُمِّ حَبِيبٍ بِنْتِ ذُؤَيْبِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ الْمُزَنِيَّةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَتْ تَحْتَ رَجُلٍ مِنْهُمْ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ كَانَتْ تَحْتَ ابْنِ أَخٍ لِصَفِيَّةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ ابْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ:‏‏‏‏ فَوَهَبَتْ لَنَا أُمُّ حَبِيبٍ صَاعًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَتْنَا عَنِ ابْنِ أَخِي صَفِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ صَفِيَّةَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ صَاعُ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَنَسٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَجَرَّبْتُهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَحَزَرْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ مُدَّيْنِ وَنِصْفًا بِمُدِّ هِشَامٍ.

Urdu Translation

عبدالرحمٰن بن حرملہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ام حبیب بنت ذؤیب بن قیس مزنیہ قبیلہ بنو اسلم کے ایک شخص کے نکاح میں تھیں پھر وہ ام المؤمنین صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے بھتیجے کے نکاح میں آئیں، آپ نے ہم کو ایک صاع ہبہ کیا، اور ہم سے بیان کیا کہ ام المؤمنین صفیہ رضی اللہ عنہا کے بھتیجے سے روایت ہے، اور انہوں نے ام المؤمنین صفیہ سے روایت کی ہے کہ ام المؤمنین کہتی ہیں کہ یہ نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا صاع ہے۔ انس رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں: میں نے اس کو جانچا یا کہا میں نے اس کا اندازہ کیا تو ہشام بن عبدالملک کے مد سے دو مد اور آدھے مد کے برابر پایا ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated Safiyyah bint Huyayy: Ibn Harmalah said: Umm Habib gave us a sa' and told us narration from the nephew of Safiyyah on the authority of Safiyyah that it was the sa' of the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. Anas ibn Ayyad said: I tested it and found its capacity two and half mudd according to the mudd of Hisham.
