Sunan Abu Dawood 337 - Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah)

حَدَّثَنَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَاصِمٍ الْأَنْطَاكِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ بَلَغَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ أَبِي رَبَاحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَصَابَ رَجُلًا جُرْحٌ فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ثُمَّ احْتَلَمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأُمِرَ بِالِاغْتِسَالِ فَاغْتَسَلَ فَمَاتَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَتَلُوهُ قَتَلَهُمُ اللَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَلَمْ يَكُنْ شِفَاءُ الْعِيِّ السُّؤَالَ .

Urdu Translation

عطاء بن ابی رباح سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کو کہتے سنا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانے میں ایک آدمی کو زخم لگا، پھر اسے احتلام ہو گیا، تو اسے غسل کرنے کا حکم دیا گیا، اس نے غسل کیا تو وہ مر گیا، یہ بات رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو معلوم ہوئی تو آپ نے فرمایا: ان لوگوں نے اسے مار ڈالا، اللہ انہیں مارے، کیا لاعلمی کا علاج مسئلہ پوچھ لینا نہیں تھا؟ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas: A man was injured during the lifetime of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم; he then had a sexual dream, and he was advised to wash and he washed himself. Consequently he died. When this was reported to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم he said: They killed him; may Allah kill them! Is not inquiry the cure of ignorance?
