حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ،حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَكْرٍ، قَالَا: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ جُرَيْجٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَجَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ: خَرَصَهَا ابْنُ رَوَاحَةَ أَرْبَعِينَ أَلْفَ وَسْقٍ، وَزَعَمَ أَنَّ الْيَهُودَ لَمَّا خَيَّرَهُمْ ابْنُ رَوَاحَةَ، أَخَذُوا الثَّمَرَ، وَعَلَيْهِمْ عِشْرُونَ أَلْفَ وَسْقٍ.
جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ ابن رواحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے چالیس ہزار وسق ( کھجور ) کا اندازہ لگایا ( ایک وسق ساٹھ صاع کا ہوتا ہے ) اور ان کا خیال ہے کہ عبداللہ بن رواحہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے جب یہود کو اختیار دیا ( کہ وہ ہمیں اس کا نصف دے دیں، یا ہم سے اس کا نصف لے لیں ) تو انہوں نے پھل اپنے پاس رکھا اور انہیں بیس ہزار وسق ( کٹائی کے بعد ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دینا پڑا۔
Narrated Jabir ibn Abdullah: Ibn Rawahah assessed them (the amount of dates) at forty thousand wasqs, and when Ibn Rawahah gave them option, the Jews took the fruits in their possession and twenty thousand wasqs of dates were due from them.
