Sunan Abu Dawood 3441 - Wages (Kitab Al-Ijarah)

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْمَكِّيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ أَعْرَابِيًّا حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَدِمَ بِحَلُوبَةٍ لَهُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَنَزَلَ عَلَى طَلْحَةَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى أَنْ يَبِيعَ حَاضِرٌ لِبَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَكِنِ اذْهَبْ إِلَى السُّوقِ فَانْظُرْ مَنْ يُبَايِعُكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَشَاوِرْنِي حَتَّى آمُرَكَ أَوْ أَنْهَاكَ .

Urdu Translation

سالم مکی سے روایت ہے کہ ایک اعرابی (دیہاتی) نے ان سے بیان کیا کہ   وہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے زمانہ میں اپنی ایک دودھاری اونٹنی لے کر آیا، یا اپنا بیچنے کا سامان لے کر آیا، اور طلحہ بن عبیداللہ رضی اللہ عنہ کے پاس قیام کیا، تو انہوں نے کہا: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے شہری کو دیہاتی کا سامان کو بیچنے سے روکا ہے ( اس لیے میں تمہارے ساتھ تمہارا دلال بن کر تو نہ جاؤں گا ) لیکن تم بازار جاؤ اور دیکھو کون کون تم سے خرید و فروخت کرنا چاہتا ہے پھر تم مجھ سے مشورہ کرنا تو میں تمہیں بتاؤں گا کہ دے دو یا نہ دو۔

English Translation

Narrated Salim al-Makki: That a bedouin told him that he brought a milch she-camel in the time of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم. He alighted with Talhah ibn Ubaydullah (and wanted to sell his milch animal to him). He said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade a townsman to sell for a man from the desert. But go to the market and see who buys from you. consult me thereafter, and then I shall ask you (to sell) or forbid you.
