حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا قَتَادَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الشُّرْبِ مِنْ فِي السِّقَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعَنْ رُكُوبِ الْجَلَّالَةِ وَالْمُجَثَّمَةِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ الْجَلَّالَةُ الَّتِي تَأْكُلُ الْعَذِرَةَ.

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عباس رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مشکیزے میں منہ لگا کر پینے سے، نجاست کھانے والے جانور کی سواری سے اور جس پرندہ کو باندھ کر تیر وغیرہ سے نشانہ لگا کر مارا گیا ہو اسے کھانے سے منع فرمایا۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: «جلّالہ» وہ جانور ہے جو نجاست کھاتا ہے۔

English Translation

Ibn Abbas said: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم forbade drinking from the mouth of a water-skin, and riding the animal which feeds on filth and eating the animal which is killed in confinement. Abu Dawud said: Jallalah means an animal which eats filth and impurities.
