حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ خَلَفٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبِي خَالِدَ بْنَ الْحُوَيْرِثِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو كَانَ بالصِّفَاحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ:‏‏‏‏ مَكَانٌ بِمَكَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ وَإِنَّ رَجُلًا جَاءَ بِأَرْنَبٍ قَدْ صَادَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏مَا تَقُولُ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَدْ جِيءَ بِهَا إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا جَالِسٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمْ يَأْكُلْهَا وَلَمْ يَنْهَ عَنْ أَكْلِهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَزَعَمَ أَنَّهَا تَحِيضُ .

Urdu Translation

محمد بن خالد کہتے ہیں کہ میں نے اپنے والد خالد بن حویرث کو کہتے سنا کہ   عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما صفاح میں تھے ( محمد ( محمد بن خالد ) کہتے ہیں: وہ مکہ میں ایک جگہ کا نام ہے ) ایک شخص ان کے پاس خرگوش شکار کر کے لایا، اور کہنے لگا: عبداللہ بن عمرو! آپ اس سلسلے میں کیا کہتے ہیں؟ انہوں نے کہا: اسے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی خدمت میں لایا گیا اور میں بیٹھا ہوا تھا آپ نے نہ تو اسے کھایا اور نہ ہی اس کے کھانے سے منع فرمایا، اور آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کا یہ خیال تھا کہ اسے حیض آتا ہے۔

English Translation

Abu Khalid bin al-Huwairith said: Abdullah bin ‘Amar was in al-safah. The narrator Muhammed (b. Khalid) said: it is a place in Makkah. A man brought a hare which he had haunted. He said: Abdullah bin Amr, what do you say ? He said: It was brought to the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم when I was sitting (with him). He did not eat it, nor did he prohibit to eat it. He thought that it menstruated.
