حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ الْأَعْوَرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْيُوسُفَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ سَلَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ كِسْرَةً مِنْ خُبْزِ شَعِيرٍ فَوَضَعَ عَلَيْهَا تَمْرَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَذِهِ إِدَامُ هَذِهِ .

Urdu Translation

یوسف بن عبداللہ بن سلام کہتے ہیں   میں نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو دیکھا آپ نے جو کی روٹی کا ایک ٹکڑا لیا اور اس پر کھجور رکھا اور فرمایا: یہ اس کا سالن ہے ۔

English Translation

Narrated Yusuf ibn Abdullah ibn Salam: I saw that the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم took a piece of break of barley and put a date on it and said: This is the condiment of this.
