حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عُرْوَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَائِشَةَ زَوْجِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا اشْتَكَى:‏‏‏‏ يَقْرَأُ فِي نَفْسِهِ بِالْمُعَوِّذَاتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَنْفُثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلَمَّا اشْتَدَّ وَجَعُهُ كُنْتُ أَقْرَأُ عَلَيْهِ وَأَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهِ بِيَدِهِ رَجَاءَ بَرَكَتِهَا .

Urdu Translation

ام المؤمنین عائشہ رضی اللہ عنہا فرماتی ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم جب بیمار ہوتے تو آپ اپنے اوپر معوذات پڑھ کر دم فرماتے تھے، پھر جب آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی تکلیف بڑھ گئی تو میں اسے آپ پر پڑھ کر دم کرتی اور برکت کی امید سے آپ کا ہاتھ آپ کے جسم پر پھیرتی۔

English Translation

Narrated Aishah: the wife of Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم suffered from some pain, he recited mu'awwadhat in his heart and blew (them over him). When the pain became severe, I recited (them) over him and wiped him with his hand in the hope of its blessing.
