Baab Libas Ke Mutaliq Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي أَفْلَحَ الْهَمْدَانِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ زُرَيْرٍ يَعْنِي الْغَافِقِيَّ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَخَذَ حَرِيرًا فَجَعَلَهُ فِي يَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَخَذَ ذَهَبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَجَعَلَهُ فِي شِمَالِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ هَذَيْنِ حَرَامٌ عَلَى ذُكُورِ أُمَّتِي .

Urdu Translation

علی رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ریشم لے کر اسے اپنے داہنے ہاتھ میں رکھا اور سونا لے کر اسے بائیں ہاتھ میں رکھا، پھر فرمایا: یہ دونوں میری امت کے مردوں پر حرام ہیں ۔

English Translation

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: The Prophet of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم took silk and held it in his right hand, and took gold and held it in his left hand and said: both of these are prohibited to the males of my community.
