Baab Dua Ke Fazail O Aadaab Aur Ehkaam O Masail

حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْمَعْنَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْأَشْهَبِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ جَدَّهُ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنَ أَسْعَدَ قُطِعَ أَنْفُهُ يَوْمَ الْكُلَابِ فَاتَّخَذَ أَنْفًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَأَنْتَنَ عَلَيْهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَأَمَرَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَاتَّخَذَ أَنْفًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ .

Urdu Translation

عبدالرحمٰن بن طرفہ کہتے ہیں کہ   کے دادا عرفجہ بن اسعد کی ناک جنگ کلاب ۱؎ کے دن کاٹ لی گئی، تو انہوں نے چاندی کی ایک ناک بنوائی، انہیں اس کی بدبو محسوس ہوئی، تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں حکم دیا، تو انہوں نے سونے کی ناک بنوا لی ۲؎۔

English Translation

Abdur Rahman ibn Tarafah said that his grandfather Arfajah ibn Asad who had his nose cut off at the battle of al-Kilab got a silver nose, but it developed a stench, so the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ordered him to get a gold nose.
