حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا الْأَوْزَاعِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حَسَّانَ بْنِ عَطِيَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ مَالَ مَكْحُولٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وابْنُ أَبِي زَكَرِيَّا إِلَى خَالِدِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ وَمِلْتُ مَعَهُمْ فَحَدَّثَنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ نُفَيْرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْهُدْنَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ جُبَيْرٌ:‏‏‏‏ انْطَلِقْ بِنَا إِلَى ذِي مِخْبَرٍ ٍ رَجُلٍ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَسَأَلَهُ جُبَيْرٌ عَنِ الْهُدْنَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ سَتُصَالِحُونَ الرُّومَ صُلْحًا آمِنًا فَتَغْزُونَ أَنْتُمْ وَهُمْ عَدُوًّا مِنْ وَرَائِكُمْ فَتُنْصَرُونَ وَتَغْنَمُونَ وَتَسْلَمُونَ ثُمَّ تَرْجِعُونَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَتَّى تَنْزِلُوا بِمَرْجٍ ذِي تُلُولٍ فَيَرْفَعُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ النَّصْرَانِيَّةِ الصَّلِيبَ فَيَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ غَلَبَ الصَّلِيبُ فَيَغْضَبُ رَجُلٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَدُقُّهُ فَعِنْدَ ذَلِكَ تَغْدِرُ الرُّومُ وَتَجْمَعُ لِلْمَلْحَمَةِ .

Urdu Translation

حسان بن عطیہ کہتے ہیں کہ   مکحول اور ابن ابی زکریا: خالد بن معدان کی طرف چلے، میں بھی ان کے ساتھ چلا تو انہوں نے ہم سے جبیر بن نفیر کے واسطہ سے صلح کے متعلق بیان کیا، جبیر نے کہا: ہمارے ساتھ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے اصحاب میں سے ذی مخبر نامی ایک شخص کے پاس چلو چنانچہ ہم ان کے پاس آئے، جبیر نے ان سے صلح کے متعلق دریافت کیا، تو انہوں نے کہا: میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا ہے: عنقریب تم رومیوں سے ایک پر امن صلح کرو گے، پھر تم اور وہ مل کر ایک ایسے دشمن سے لڑو گے جو تمہارے پیچھے ہے، اس پر فتح پاؤ گے، اور غنیمت کا مال لے کر صحیح سالم واپس ہو گے یہاں تک کہ ایک میدان میں اترو گے جو ٹیلوں والا ہو گا، پھر نصرانیوں میں سے ایک شخص صلیب اٹھائے گا اور کہے گا: صلیب غالب آئی، یہ سن کر مسلمانوں میں سے ایک شخص غصہ میں آئے گا اور اس کو مارے گا، اس وقت اہل روم عہد شکنی کریں گے اور لڑائی کے لیے اپنے لوگوں کو جمع کریں گے ۔

English Translation

Dhu Mikhbar said: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: you will make a secure peace with the Byzantines, then you and they will fight an enemy behind you, and you will be victorious, take booty, and be safe. You will then return and alight in a meadow with mounds and one of the Christians will raise the cross and say: The cross has conquered. One of the Muslims will become angry and smash it, and the Byzantines will act treacherously and prepare for the battle.
