حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَحْلِفُ بِاللَّهِ أَنَّ ابْنَ صَائِدٍ الدَّجَّالُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقُلْتُ:‏‏‏‏ تَحْلِفُ بِاللَّهِ ؟ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي سَمِعْتُ عُمَرَ يَحْلِفُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَلَمْ يُنْكِرْهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

محمد بن منکدر کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے جابر بن عبداللہ رضی اللہ عنہما کو دیکھا کہ وہ اللہ کی قسم کھا کر کہہ رہے تھے کہ ابن صیاد دجال ہے، میں نے کہا: آپ اللہ کی قسم کھا رہے ہیں؟ تو بولے: میں نے عمر رضی اللہ عنہ کو اس بات پر رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس قسم کھاتے سنا ہے، لیکن رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے اس پر ان پر کوئی نکیر نہیں فرمائی ۱؎۔

English Translation

Muhammad ibn al-Munkadir told that he saw Jabir ibn Abdullah swearing by Allah that Ibn as-Saeed was the Dajjal (Antichrist). I expressed my surprise by saying: You swear by Allah! He said: I heard Umar swearing to that in the presence of the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, but the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم did not make any objection to it.
