Narrated Maymunah ibn Saad: I said: Messenger of Allah, tell us the legal injunction about (visiting) Bayt al-Muqaddas (the dome of the Rock at Jerusalem). The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: go and pray there. All the cities at that time were effected by war. If you cannot visit it and pray there, then send some oil to be used in the lamps.

حَدَّثَنَا النُّفَيْلِيُّ /a>، حَدَّثَنَا مِسْكِينٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي سَوْدَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَيْمُونَةَ مَوْلَاةِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَفْتِنَا فِي بَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ ائْتُوهُ فَصَلُّوا فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَتِ الْبِلَادُ إِذْ ذَاكَ حَرْبًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنْ لَمْ تَأْتُوهُ وَتُصَلُّوا فِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَابْعَثُوا بِزَيْتٍ يُسْرَجُ فِي قَنَادِيلِهِ .

نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کی آزاد کردہ لونڈی میمونہ رضی اللہ عنہا سے روایت ہے کہ   انہوں نے کہا: اللہ کے رسول! آپ بیت المقدس کے سلسلے میں ہمیں حکم دیجئیے تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم وہاں جاؤ اور اس میں نماز پڑھو ، اس زمانے میں ان شہروں میں لڑائی پھیلی ہوئی تھی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اگر تم وہاں نہ جا سکو اور نماز نہ پڑھ سکو تو تیل ہی بھیج دو کہ اس کی قندیلوں میں جلایا جا سکے ۔
