حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أخبرنا سَلَمَةُ يَعْنِي ابْنَ الْفَضْلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ إِسْحَاق، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي عُتْبَةُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍمَوْلَى بَنِي تَيْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَقُولُ:‏‏‏‏ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَإِذَا قَالُوا ذَلِكَ فَقُولُوا:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُ أَحَدٌ ‏‏‏‏ 1 ‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُ الصَّمَدُ ‏‏‏‏ 2 ‏‏‏‏ لَمْ يَلِدْ وَلَمْ يُولَدْ ‏‏‏‏ 3 ‏‏‏‏ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَهُ كُفُوًا أَحَدٌ ‏‏‏‏ 4 ‏‏‏‏ سورة الإخلاص آية 1-4، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ لِيَتْفُلْ عَنْ يَسَارِهِ ثَلَاثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلْيَسْتَعِذْ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو فرماتے سنا، پھر اس جیسی روایت ذکر کی، البتہ اس میں ہے، آپ نے فرمایا: جب لوگ ایسا کہیں تو تم کہو: «الله أحد * الله الصمد * لم يلد ولم يولد * ولم يكن له كفوا أحد» اللہ ایک ہے وہ بے نیاز ہے ۱؎، اس نے نہ کسی کو جنا اور نہ وہ کسی سے جنا گیا اور نہ کوئی اس کا ہمسر ہے پھر وہ اپنے بائیں جانب تین مرتبہ تھوکے اور شیطان سے پناہ مانگے ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: I heard the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم say: He then mentioned a tradition like it. This version adds: When they propound that, say: Say Allah is one. Allah is He to Whom men repair. He has not begotten and He has not been begotten, and no one is equal to Him. Then one should spit three times on his left side and seek refuge in Allah from Satan.
