حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أخبرنا حَمَّادٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ الْجَنَّةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ لِجِبْرِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ اذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَهَبَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ جَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِزَّتِكَ لَا يَسْمَعُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ حَفَّهَا بِالْمَكَارِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا جِبْرِيلُ اذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَهَبَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا ثُمَّ جَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِزَّتِكَ لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَدْخُلَهَا أَحَدٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَلَمَّا خَلَقَ اللَّهُ النَّارَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا جِبْرِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَهَبَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ جَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِزَّتِكَ لَا يَسْمَعُ بِهَا أَحَدٌ فَيَدْخُلُهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَحَفَّهَا بِالشَّهَوَاتِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا جِبْرِيلُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏اذْهَبْ فَانْظُرْ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَذَهَبَ فَنَظَرَ إِلَيْهَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏ثُمَّ جَاءَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَيْ رَبِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَعِزَّتِكَ لَقَدْ خَشِيتُ أَنْ لَا يَبْقَى أَحَدٌ إِلَّا دَخَلَهَا .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب اللہ نے جنت کو پیدا کیا تو جبرائیل سے فرمایا: جاؤ اور اسے دیکھو، وہ گئے اور اسے دیکھا، پھر واپس آئے، اور کہنے لگے: اے میرے رب! تیری عزت کی قسم، اس کے متعلق جو کوئی بھی سنے گا وہ اس میں ضرور داخل ہو گا، پھر ( اللہ نے ) اسے مکروہات ( ناپسندیدہ ) ( چیزوں ) سے گھیر دیا، پھر فرمایا: اے جبرائیل! جاؤ اور اسے دیکھو، وہ گئے اور اسے دیکھا، پھر لوٹ کر آئے تو بولے: اے میرے رب! تیری عزت کی قسم! مجھے ڈر ہے کہ اس میں کوئی داخل نہ ہو سکے گا، جب اللہ نے جہنم کو پیدا کیا تو فرمایا: اے جبرائیل! جاؤ اور اسے دیکھو، وہ گئے اور اسے دیکھا، پھر واپس آئے اور کہنے لگے: اے میرے رب! تیری عزت کی قسم! جو اس کے متعلق سنے گا اس میں داخل نہ ہو گا، تو اللہ نے اسے مرغوب اور پسندیدہ چیزوں سے گھیر دیا، پھر فرمایا: جبرائیل! جاؤ اور اسے دیکھو، وہ گئے، جہنم کو دیکھا پھر واپس آئے اور عرض کیا: اے میرے رب! تیری عزت کی قسم! مجھے ڈر ہے کہ کوئی بھی ایسا نہیں بچے گا جو اس میں داخل نہ ہو ۱؎ ۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: When Allah created Paradise, He said to Gabriel: Go and look at it. He went and looked at it, then came and said: O my Lord! By Thy might, no one who hears of it will fail to enter it. He then surrounded it with disagreeable things, and said: Go and look at it, Gabriel. He went and looked at it, then came and said: O my Lord! By Thy might, I am afraid that no one will enter it. When Allah created Hell, He said: Go and look at it, Gabriel. He went and looked at it, then came and said: O my Lord! By Thy might, no one who hears of it will enter it. He then surrounded it with desirable things and said: Go and look at it, Gabriel. He went, looked at it, then came and said: O my Lord! By Thy might and power, I am afraid that no one will remain who does not enter it.
