حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أخبرنا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أخبرنا الْحَسَنُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ضَبَّةَ بْنِ مِحْصَنٍ الْعَنَزِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏بِمَعْنَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَمَنْ كَرِهَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَدْ بَرِئَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ أَنْكَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَدْ سَلِمَ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي مَنْ أَنْكَرَ بِقَلْبِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَمَنْ كَرِهَ بِقَلْبِهِ.

Urdu Translation

اس سند سے بھی ام سلمہ رضی اللہ عنہا نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث روایت کی ہے، البتہ اس میں یہ ہے کہآ   ہآپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جس نے ناپسند کیا تو وہ بری ہو گیا اور جس نے کھل کر انکار کر دیا تو وہ محفوظ ہو گیا قتادہ کہتے ہیں: مطلب یہ ہے کہ جس نے دل سے اس کا انکار کیا اور جس نے دل سے اسے ناپسند کیا۔

English Translation

The tradition mentioned above has also been transmitted by Umm Salamah through a different chain of narrators to the same effect. This version has: He who disapproves is guiltless, and he who disapproves is safe. Qatadah said: it means one who feels its disapproval in his heart, and one who expresses disapproval in his heart.
