حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى رَجُلٍ مِنْ الْأَنْصَارِ وَهُوَ يَعِظُ أَخَاهُ فِي الْحَيَاءِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ دَعْهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِنَّ الْحَيَاءَ مِنَ الْإِيمَانِ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمر رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم انصار کے ایک شخص پر سے گزرے، وہ اپنے بھائی کو شرم و حیاء کرنے پر ڈانٹ رہا تھا ( اور سمجھا رہا تھا کہ زیادہ شرم کرنا اچھی بات نہیں ) رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: اسے اس کے حال پر چھوڑ دو، شرم تو ایمان کا ایک حصہ ہے ۱؎ ۔

English Translation

Abdullah bin Umar said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم passed by a man of the Ansar when he was giving his brother a warning against modesty. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: Leave him alone, for modesty is a part of faith.
