Sunan Abu Dawood 4991 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَجُلًا مِنْ مَوَالِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ الْعَدَوِيّ حَدَّثَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْعَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَامِرٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ دَعَتْنِي أُمِّي يَوْمًا وَرَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَاعِدٌ فِي بَيْتِنَا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ هَا تَعَالَ أُعْطِيكَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ وَمَا أَرَدْتِ أَنْ تُعْطِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَتْ:‏‏‏‏ أُعْطِيهِ تَمْرًا،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَمَا إِنَّكِ لَوْ لَمْ تُعْطِهِ شَيْئًا كُتِبَتْ عَلَيْكِ كَذِبَةٌ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عامر رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   ایک دن میری ماں نے مجھے بلایا اور رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ہمارے گھر بیٹھے ہوئے تھے، وہ بولیں: سنو یہاں آؤ، میں تمہیں کچھ دوں گی، رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے کہا: تم نے اسے کیا دینے کا ارادہ کیا ہے؟ وہ بولیں، میں اسے کھجور دوں گی تو رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے ان سے فرمایا: سنو، اگر تم اسے کوئی چیز نہیں دیتی، تو تم پر ایک جھوٹ لکھ دیا جاتا ۱؎۔

English Translation

Narrated Abdullah ibn Amir: My mother called me one day when the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was sitting in our house. She said: Come here and I shall give you something. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم asked her: What did you intend to give him? She replied: I intended to give him some dates. The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: If you were not to give him anything, a lie would be recorded against you.
