حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ لَمْ تَكَدْ رُؤْيَا الْمُؤْمِنِ أَنْ تَكْذِبَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَصْدَقُهُمْ رُؤْيَا أَصْدَقُهُمْ حَدِيثًا، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالرُّؤْيَا ثَلَاثٌ:‏‏‏‏ فَالرُّؤْيَا الصَّالِحَةُ بُشْرَى مِنَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُؤْيَا تَحْزِينٌ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرُؤْيَا مِمَّا يُحَدِّثُ بِهِ الْمَرْءُ نَفْسَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا رَأَى أَحَدُكُمْ مَا يَكْرَهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلْيَقُمْ فَلْيُصَلِّ وَلَا يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا النَّاسَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ وَأُحِبُّ الْقَيْدَ وَأَكْرَهُ الْغُلَّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَالْقَيْدُ ثَبَاتٌ فِي الدِّينِ ،‏‏‏‏ قال أبو داود:‏‏‏‏ إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ الزَّمَانُ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي إِذَا اقْتَرَبَ اللَّيْلُ وَالنَّهَارُ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي يَسْتَوِيَانِ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: جب زمانہ قریب ہو جائے گا، تو مومن کا خواب جھوٹا نہ ہو گا، اور ان میں سب سے زیادہ سچا خواب اسی کا ہو گا، جو ان میں گفتگو میں سب سے سچا ہو گا، خواب تین طرح کے ہوتے ہیں: بہتر اور اچھے خواب اللہ کی جانب سے خوشخبری ہوتے ہیں اور کچھ خواب شیطان کی طرف سے تکلیف و رنج کا باعث ہوتے ہیں، اور کچھ خواب آدمی کے دل کے خیالات ہوتے ہیں لہٰذا جب تم میں سے کوئی ( خواب میں ) ناپسندیدہ بات دیکھے تو چاہیئے کہ اٹھ کر نماز پڑھ لے اور اسے لوگوں سے بیان نہ کرے، فرمایا: میں قید ( پیر میں بیڑی پہننے ) کو ( خواب میں ) پسند کرتا ہوں اور غل ( گردن میں طوق ) کو ناپسند کرتا ہوں ۱؎ اور قید ( پیر میں بیڑی ہونے ) کا مطلب دین میں ثابت قدم ہونا ہے ۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: جب زمانہ قریب ہو جائے گا کا مطلب یہ ہے کہ جب رات اور دن قریب قریب یعنی برابر ہو جائیں۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: When the time draws near, a believer’s vision can hardly be false. The truer one of them is in his speech, the truer he is in his vision. Visions are of three types: Good visions are glad tidings from Allah, a terrifying vision caused by the devil, and the ideas which come from within a man. So when one sees anything he dislikes, he should get up and pray, and should not tell it to the people. He said: I like a fetter and dislike a shackle on the neck; a fetter indicates being firmly established in religion. Abu Dawud said: “when the time draws near” means that when the day and night are equal.
