Sunan Abu Dawood 5141 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ زِيَادٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنَا. ح وحَدَّثَنَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَا:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّ مِنْ أَكْبَرِ الْكَبَائِرِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ يَلْعَنَ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ،‏‏‏‏ قِيلَ:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَيْفَ يَلْعَنُ الرَّجُلُ وَالِدَيْهِ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ يَلْعَنُ أَبَا الرَّجُلِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَلْعَنُ أَبَاهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيَلْعَنُ أُمَّهُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَيَلْعَنُ أُمَّهُ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن عمرو رضی اللہ عنہما کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: ( بڑے گناہوں ) میں سے ایک بڑا گناہ یہ ہے کہ آدمی اپنے والدین پر لعنت بھیجے عرض کیا گیا: اللہ کے رسول! آدمی اپنے والدین پر کیسے لعنت بھیج سکتا ہے؟ آپ نے فرمایا: ایک شخص کسی شخص کے باپ پر لعنت بھیجتا ہے، تو وہ شخص ( جواب میں ) اس کے باپ پر لعنت بھیجتا ہے، یا ایک شخص کسی شخص کی ماں پر لعنت بھیجتا ہے تو وہ اس کے جواب میں اس کی ماں پر لعنت بھیجتا ہے ( اس طرح وہ گویا خود ہی اپنے ماں باپ پر لعنت بھیجتا ہے ) ۔

English Translation

Abdullah bin Amr (bin al-As) reported the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: A man’s reviling of his parents is one of the grave sins. He was asked: Messenger of Allah! How does a man revile his parents? He replied: He reviles the father of a man who then reviles his father, and he reviles a man’s mother and he reviles his.
