حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاق بْنُ سُوَيْدٍ الرَّمْلِيُّ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَظُنُّ أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ نَافِعَ بْنَ يَزِيدَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو مَرْحُومٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَهْلِ بْنِ مُعَاذِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِيهِ،‏‏‏‏ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِمَعْنَاهُ،‏‏‏‏ زَادَ ثُمَّ أَتَى آخَرُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ وَرَحْمَةُ اللَّهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ وَمَغْفِرَتُهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَرْبَعُونَ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَكَذَا تَكُونُ الْفَضَائِلُ.

Urdu Translation

معاذ بن انس رضی اللہ عنہ نے نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے اسی مفہوم کی حدیث روایت کی ہے   لیکن اس میں اتنا مزید ہے کہ پھر ایک اور شخص آیا اور اس نے کہا السلام علیکم ورحمتہ اﷲ وبرکاتہ ومغفرتہ تو آپ نے فرمایا: اسے چالیس نیکیاں ملیں گی، اور اسی طرح ( اور کلمات کے اضافے پر ) نیکیاں بڑھتی جائیں گی۔

English Translation

Narrated Muadh ibn Anas: (This version is same as previous No 5176 from the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم, adding that): Afterwards another man came and said: Peace and Allah's mercy, blessings and forgiveness be upon you! whereupon he said: Forty. adding: Thus are excellent qualities rewarded.
