Sunan Abu Dawood 5215 - General Behavior (Kitab Al-Adab)

حَدَّثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ عُمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ بْنِ سَهْلِ بْنِ حُنَيْفٍ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ أَنَّ أَهْلَ قُرَيْظَةَ لَمَّا نَزَلُوا عَلَى حُكْمِ سَعْدٍ،‏‏‏‏ أَرْسَلَ إِلَيْهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ،‏‏‏‏ فَجَاءَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ أَقْمَرَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ قُومُوا إِلَى سَيِّدِكُمْ أَوْ إِلَى خَيْرِكُمْ،‏‏‏‏ فَجَاءَ حَتَّى قَعَدَ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .

Urdu Translation

ابو سعید خدری رضی اللہ عنہ سے روایت ہے کہ   جب قریظہ کے لوگ سعد کے حکم ( فیصلہ ) پر اترے تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے سعد رضی اللہ عنہ کو بلا بھیجا، وہ ایک سفید گدھے پر سوار ہو کر آئے تو نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم اپنے سردار یا اپنے بہتر شخص کی طرف بڑھو پھر وہ آئے یہاں تک کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے پاس آ کر بیٹھ گئے۔

English Translation

Abu Saeed Al-Khudri said: When Banu Quraizah capitulated agreeing to accept Saad’s judgement, the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم sent a messenger to him. When he came riding on a white ass, the prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم said: stand up to (show respect to) your chief, or he said: “to the best of you”. He came and sat beside the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم.
