حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيل،‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ،‏‏‏‏ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو قَتَادَةَ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ لَهُ،‏‏‏‏ فَعَطِشُوا،‏‏‏‏ فَانْطَلَقَ سَرْعَانُ النَّاسِ،‏‏‏‏ فَلَزِمْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ تِلْكَ اللَّيْلَةَ،‏‏‏‏ فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَفِظَكَ اللَّهُ بِمَا حَفِظْتَ بِهِ نَبِيَّهُ .

Urdu Translation

عبداللہ بن رباح انصاری کہتے ہیں کہ   ابوقتادہ رضی اللہ عنہ نے ہم سے بیان کیا کہ: نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم اپنے ایک سفر میں تھے، لوگ پیاسے ہوئے تو جلدباز لوگ آگے نکل گئے، لیکن میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ ہی اس رات رہا ( آپ کو چھوڑ کر نہ گیا ) تو آپ نے فرمایا: اللہ تیری حفاظت فرمائے جس طرح تو نے اس کے نبی کی حفاظت کی ہے ۔

English Translation

Abu Qatadah said: The Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم was on journey. The people became thirsty, and they went quickly. I guarded the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم on that night. He said: May Allah guard you for the reason you have guarded His Prophet!
