حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا وَكِيعٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَخِيهِ عِيسَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْبَرَاءِ بْنِ عَازِبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَفَعَ يَدَيْهِ حِينَ افْتَتَحَ الصَّلَاةَ ثُمَّ لَمْ يَرْفَعْهُمَا حَتَّى انْصَرَفَ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ لَيْسَ بِصَحِيحٍ.

Urdu Translation

براء بن عازب رضی اللہ عنہما سے روایت ہے کہ   میں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کو اپنے دونوں ہاتھ اٹھاتے ہوئے دیکھا جس وقت آپ نے نماز شروع کی، پھر آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے انہیں نہیں اٹھایا یہاں تک کہ آپ نماز سے فارغ ہو گئے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: یہ حدیث صحیح نہیں ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Al-Bara ibn Azib: I saw that the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم raised his hands when he began prayer, but he did not raise them until he finished (prayer). Abu Dawud said: This tradition is not sound.
