Sunan Abu Dawood 8 - Purification (Kitab Al-Taharah)

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَجْلَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ الْقَعْقَاعِ بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنَّمَا أَنَا لَكُمْ بِمَنْزِلَةِ الْوَالِدِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أُعَلِّمُكُمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَإِذَا أَتَى أَحَدُكُمُ الْغَائِطَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَلا يَسْتَقْبِلِ الْقِبْلَةَ وَلا يَسْتَدْبِرْهَا وَلَا يَسْتَطِبْ بِيَمِينِهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَكَانَ يَأْمُرُ بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ وَيَنْهَى عَنِ الرَّوْثِ وَالرِّمَّةِ .

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا ( لوگو! ) میں تمہارے لیے والد کے درجے میں ہوں، تم کو ( ہر چیز ) سکھاتا ہوں، تو جب تم میں سے کوئی شخص قضائے حاجت ( پیشاب و پاخانہ ) کے لیے جائے تو قبلہ کی طرف منہ اور پیٹھ کر کے نہ بیٹھے، اور نہ ( ہی ) داہنے ہاتھ سے استنجاء کرے آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ( استنجاء کے لیے ) تین پتھر لینے کا حکم فرماتے، اور گوبر اور ہڈی کے استعمال سے روکتے تھے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: The Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: I am like father to you. When any of you goes to privy, he should not face or turn his back towards the qiblah. He should not cleanse with his right hand. He (the Prophet, صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم) also commanded the Muslims to use three stones and forbade them to use dung or decayed bone.
