حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ ابْنِ أُكَيْمَةَ اللَّيْثِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ انْصَرَفَ مِنْ صَلَاةٍ جَهَرَ فِيهَا بِالْقِرَاءَةِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏فَقَالَ:‏‏‏‏ هَلْ قَرَأَ مَعِيَ أَحَدٌ مِنْكُمْ آنِفًا ؟ فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ:‏‏‏‏ نَعَمْ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ إِنِّي أَقُولُ مَالِي أُنَازَعُ الْقُرْآنَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ فَانْتَهَى النَّاسُ عَنِ الْقِرَاءَةِ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِيمَا جَهَرَ فِيهِ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ مِنَ الصَّلَوَاتِ حِينَ سَمِعُوا ذَلِكَ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . قَالَ أَبُو دَاوُد:‏‏‏‏ رَوَى حَدِيثَ ابْنِ أُكَيْمَةَ هَذَا مَعْمَرٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُونُسُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأُسَامَةُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ. عَنْ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَلَى مَعْنَى مَالِكٍ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ایک نماز سے جس میں آپ نے بلند آواز سے قرآت کی تھی پلٹے تو فرمایا: کیا تم میں سے کسی نے میرے ساتھ ابھی ابھی قرآت کی ہے؟ ، تو ایک آدمی نے عرض کیا: ہاں، اے اللہ کے رسول! آپ نے فرمایا: تبھی تو میں ( دل میں ) کہہ رہا تھا کہ کیا ہو گیا ہے کہ قرآن میں میرے ساتھ کشمکش کی جا رہی ہے ۔ زہری کہتے ہیں: جس وقت لوگوں نے رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم سے یہ سنا تو جس نماز میں آپ جہری قرآت کرتے تھے، اس میں رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم کے ساتھ قرآت کرنے سے رک گئے۔ ابوداؤد کہتے ہیں: ابن اکیمہ کی اس حدیث کو معمر، یونس اور اسامہ بن زید نے زہری سے مالک کی حدیث کے ہم معنی روایت کیا ہے۔

English Translation

Narrated Abu Hurairah: When the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم finished a prayer in which he had recited (the Quran) loudly, he asked: Did any of you recite along with me just now? A man replied: Yes, Messenger of Allah. He said: I am wondering what is the matter with me that I have been contended with reciting the Quran. He said: When the people heard that from the Messenger of Allah صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم they ceased reciting (the Quran) along with him at the prayers in which he recited aloud. Abu Dawud said: This tradition reported by Ibn Ukaimah has also been narrated by Mamar, Yunus, and Usamah bin Zaid on the authority of al-Zuhri similar to the tradition of Malik.
