Sunan Abu Dawood 928 - Prayer (Kitab Al-Salat)

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ سُفْيَانَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي مَالِكٍ الْأَشْجَعِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْأَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ لَا غِرَارَ فِي صَلَاةٍ وَلَا تَسْلِيمٍ . قَالَ أَحْمَدُ:‏‏‏‏ يَعْنِي فِيمَا أَرَى أَنْ لَا تُسَلِّمَ وَلَا يُسَلَّمَ عَلَيْكَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَيُغَرِّرُ الرَّجُلُ بِصَلَاتِهِ فَيَنْصَرِفُ وَهُوَ فِيهَا شَاكٌّ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی اللہ عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: نماز میں نقصان اور کمی نہیں ہے اور نہ سلام میں ہے ۱؎ ، احمد کہتے ہیں: جہاں تک میں سمجھتا ہوں مطلب یہ ہے کہ ( نماز میں ) نہ تو تم کسی کو سلام کرو اور نہ تمہیں کوئی سلام کرے اور نماز میں نقصان یہ ہے کہ آدمی نماز سے اس حال میں پلٹے کہ وہ اس میں شک کرنے والا ہو۔

English Translation

Abu Hurairah reported the Prophet صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم as saying: There is no loss in prayer nor in salutation. Ahmad (b. Hanbal) said: This means, I think, that you do not salute nor you are saluted by others. The loss of a man in his prayer is that a man remains doubtful about it when he finishes it.
