حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ مَالِكٍ. ح وحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ السَّرْحِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَخْبَرَنِي مَالِكٌ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَمْرِو بْنِ حَزْمٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِيهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سُلَيْمٍ الزُّرَقِيِّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ أَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو حُمَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيُّ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَنَّهُمْ قَالُوا:‏‏‏‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏كَيْفَ نُصَلِّي عَلَيْكَ ؟ قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ قُولُوا:‏‏‏‏ اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا صَلَّيْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَبَارِكْ عَلَى مُحَمَّدٍ وَأَزْوَاجِهِ وَذُرِّيَّتِهِ كَمَا بَارَكْتَ عَلَى آلِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏إِنَّكَ حَمِيدٌ مَجِيدٌ .

Urdu Translation

عمرو بن سلیم زرقی انصاری کہتے ہیں کہ مجھے ابو حمید ساعدی رضی اللہ عنہ نے خبر دی ہے کہ   لوگوں نے پوچھا: اللہ کے رسول! ہم آپ پر درود کس طرح بھیجیں؟ تو آپ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا: تم لوگ کہو: «اللهم صل على محمد وأزواجه وذريته كما صليت على آل إبراهيم وبارك على محمد وأزواجه وذريته كما باركت على آل إبراهيم إنك حميد مجيد» اے اللہ! محمد اور ان کی بیویوں اور ان کی اولاد پر اپنی رحمت نازل فرما جیسا کہ تو نے اپنی رحمت آل ابراہیم پر نازل فرمائی، اور محمد اور ان کی بیویوں اور ان کی اولاد پر اپنی برکت نازل فرما جیسا کہ تو نے آل ابراہیم پر نازل فرمائی، بیشک تو بڑی خوبیوں والا بزرگی والا ہے ۔

English Translation

Abu Humaid al-Said said: Some people asked: Messenger of Allah, how should we invoke blessings on you? He said: Say, ” O Allah, bless Muhammad, his wives and his off springs, as Thou didst bless Abraham’s family, and grant favours to Muhammad’s family, his wives and off springs, as Thou didst grant favours to Abraham’s family. Thou art indeed praiseworthy and glorious.
