Ingredients
  1. Chicken 11/2 kg
  2. Aaloo 1/2 kg (pani mein yellow food colour daal kar boil karain,thoray se kachay honay chahiye)
  3. Rice (boil with green cadamom,long and peppercorn)
  4. Onion 2 large (brown karain)
  5. Tomatoes 3-4 (thickly chopped)
  6. Yogurt 1/2 cup
  7. Zeera powder crushed 2 tsp
  8. Red chilli powder 11/4 tbsp
  9. Corriander powder 11/2 tbsp
  10. Haldi 1/2 tsp
  11. Bay leaves 2-3
  12. Long 8-10
  13. Peppercorn 10-12
  14. Green cadamom 6-8
  15. Cinnamon 1
  16. Nutmeg mace powder 1/2 tsp
  17. Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  18. Salt
  19. Oil/Ghee 1/4 cup
  20. Ginger julien
  21. Ajinomoto 11/2 tsp
  22. Yellow food colour
  23. Kewra water/Biryani essence
Method
  • Marinate chicken with aaloo,yogurt,zeera,red chilli powder,corriander powder,haldi,bay leaves,whole garam masala,nutmeg mac powder,tomatoes,brown onion,ginger garlic,ajinomoto and julien ginger for 1-2 hours.
  • Heat oil,add marinated chicken and cook for a few minutes.Make a layer of rice on it,add salt,essence,food colour,ginger,oil(the same oil that you fried the onion in,cover with a damp cloth ad put on dum.
