Ingredients
  1. 1 ½ lb. leg of lamb, boned
  2. 1 carton yoghurt
  3. 2 teaspoons ground coriander seeds
  4. 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  5. ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  6. 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  7. Salt to taste
  8. 6 small onions
Method
  • Cut meat into 1-inch cubes. Mix yoghurt with the spices and salt, in a bowl. Put in the meat, mix well and leave to marinate for at least six hours, or better still overnight. Now cut onions into quarters and separate each layer. Alternate cubes of lamb with pieces of onion on skewers, using 2 skewers for each person. Cook under a hot grill for approxima¬tely 8 minutes, 4 minutes on each side. Serve with chapattis.
