Ingredients
  1. Salt 1tsp
  2. Finely chopped ginger 1tbsp
  3. Mint leaves 2tbsp
  4. Oil 2tbsp
Method
  • 1.Wash and soak the yellow lentils in warm water.
  • 2.Transfer the lentils into a saucepan and add 2 cups water,10 green chilies,1tsp turmeric, finely chopped ginger, crushed red chilies, and 6 garlic cloves
  • 3.Cover and cook until the lentils are tender.
  • 4.Increase the flame of the stove and cook until the water dries off.
  • 5.Sprinkle ½ bunch of chopped coriander leaves and 2tbsp mint leaves, Turn the flame off
  • 6.In a separate pan heat 50g butter, and 2tbsp oil. Add 1tsp cumin and ,6 curry leaves
  • 7.Fry until the ingredients start to sizzle. Pour the tadka on top of the lentils and serve.
