Malai Kofta Recipe

Ingredients
  1. 1) 250 grams paneer
  2. 2) 1 teacup boiled green (fresh) peas
  3. 3) 2 tablespoons plain flour
  4. 4) 1/2 tspn baking powder
  5. 5) 2 chopped green chilies Oil/Ghee for deep frying Chopped Fresh
  6. 6) Coriander Grated fresh coconut Salt to taste
  7. 7) 4 large tomatoes
  8. 8) 100 gms fresh cream(malai)
  9. 9) 4 tbsp ghee/oil
  10. 10) 1 tsp chili powder Salt to taste (grind into paste)
  11. 11) 1 large onion
  12. 12) 2 tblps grated fresh coconut
  13. 13) 5 cloves garlic
  14. 14) 1 green chilli
  15. 15) 2 tsp coriander seeds (dhania)
  16. 16) 1 tspn cumin seeds (jeera)
  17. 17) 1 small piece ginger
  18. 18) 2 tblsp chopped coriander
Method
  • Koftas
  • 1. Crumble the paneer and knead very well.
  • 2. Mix the paneer, plain flour, baking powder, chillies, and salt.
  • 3. Shape into small balls and deep fry in oil.
  • Keep aside these koftas.
  • Gravy
  • 1. Cut the tomatoes into big pieces, add 4 teacups of water and cook. When soft, prepare a soup by passing through a sieve.
  • 2. Heat the oil in a vessel and fry the paste very well.
  • 3. Add the peas and chillies and fry again for 1 minute.
  • 4. Add the tomato soup, cream and salt and boil the gravy for atleast 10 to 15 minutes. Add Koftas to the gravy just before you serve.

Can I also freeze it for a week after making mince balls of malai korma? How cani do for the preservation of it, in it cream is include that’s why I want to confirm it. It is very delicious but not spicy.

Can I also use milk cream packet instead of paneer to make malai koftay? Actually I don’t know why my husband not like the taste of paneer. If I don’t include the peas for the preparation, it becomes tasty or not?

It is so hard to make your Khoftas so soft and tender like this picture, it usually does not prepare like that always. You can add Malai and cream to make it soft.
