Ingredients
  1. Mutton 750 gm
    Oil ¾ cup
    Yogurt 1 cup heaped
    Salt 1 ½ tsp
    Chili powder 2 tsp
    Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
     Coriander powder 1 tbsp
    Cumin powder 1 ½ tsp
    Allspice 1 tsp
    Rice 750 gm boiled with 2 tbsp salt and whole spices 1 tbsp
    Milk 1 cup
    Kewra water 1 tbsp
    Saffron ¼ tsp
    Brown onion ½ cup
Method
  • Heat oil add mutton with ginger garlic, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, cumin powder and yogurt, fry well add brown onion, add 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton tender, boil rice with salt and whole spices till ¾ done. Spread half quantity boiled rice on mutton mixture, remaining rice, milk, saffron and Kewra mixture, cover and cook for 10 minutes on fast flame, lower flame and cook on dum for 15 to 20 minutes.
