Rice Pakoras Recipe

Rice Pakoras is another Pakistani deep friend snack that is a variation of Pakora. It has crisp texture from outside and soft from inside. Rice pakoras are prepared from boiled rice, gram flour, green chilies, onions, ginger, chat masala, salt and oil. You can even use leftover rice to make this crispy pakoras. Mix all ingredients except oil to make a thick paste with water. A perfect consistency batter of rice pakoras ensures that end result is perfect. Rice pakoras is different from your traditional ones and can be served as an appetizer for lunch or dinner, hi tea. You can even make it for Iftar during Ramadan. Serve it hot with green chutney.

Ingredients
  1. Basin ½ cup
  2. Rice (boiled) 2 cups
  3. Green chilies (cut into pieces) 1 tbsp
  4. Onions (thinly sliced) ½ cup
  5. Green coriander (finely cut) 1 tbsp
  6. Ginger (thinly cut) 1 tsp
  7. Chat masala 1 tsp
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Oil for deep frying
Method
  • Mix all the ingredients except oil to make a thick paste in ¼ cup of water. In a wok heat oil and add the paste in it with a spoon in the form of pakoras. Cook until pakoras turn golden.
  • Serve with your favourite chatni.
