Ingredients
  1. Flour ½ kg
    Sugar 300 gm
    Ghee 250 gm
    Margarine 100 gm
    Milk 1 cup
    Semolina 1 cup
    Aluminum ¼ tsp
    Condensed milk 1 tbsp
    Kewra essence few drops
    Baking powder 1 tsp
    Egg 2
    Poppy seeds 1 tsp
    Desiccated coconut 1 tsp
    Fennel seeds 1 tsp
    Egg (for garnish) 1
    Milk 1 cup
Method
  • In a bowl beat together 100 gm margarine, 300 gm sugar and 250 gm ghee. Add in 2 eggs and beat well.
    Also add 1 cup milk, few drops of kewra essence, ¼ tsp aluminum and 1 tbsp condensed milk. Again beat the mixture very well.
    Now add 1 tsp baking powder, ½ kg fine wheat flour and 1 cup semolina. Fold gently.
    Knead to dough, roll thinly and cut into rounds using cutter.
    Beat together 1 egg and 1 cup milk, brush mixture on top of each tikya, sprinkle a little poppy seeds, fennel seeds and desiccated coconut on each tikya.
    Bake in a preheated oven on 180 degrees for 20 minutes.
