Ingredients
  1. 1 cup tamarind
  2. 1 cup jaggery
  3. 50 gms chironji
  4. 2 tblsps black pepper
  5. salt to taste
Method
  • Soak the tamarind in one cup of water and sieve out the pulp. Mix in the jaggery with this pulp. Wash and clean the chironji and coarsely pound the pepper. Add this to the tamarind-jaggery mixture. Then add salt and mix well, if the chutney seems too thick, add half a cup of water to thin.

Gujarati Tamarind Chutney has special place all over Asia with dal,i really miss all this food as i am at Canada for m studies i really miss this all.. will soon visit my home in india then will eat all this food..

gujarati imli chutney wow its look ver tasty and different form our Pakistani chutni to..will ask my mom to make this with samosa and pakora's at today's hi tea as my in lawas are coming..

Its really look testy i eat this many times but never try from this recipe. I definitely try to make this delicious chutney at home with pakoras and samosas.
