Heat oil in large saucepan and cook bacon, stirring, over a medium heat for 3 minutes. Add onion, carrot, celery and garlic and cook, stirring for 5 minutes longer or until vegetable start to brown
Add beef mince to pan and cook, stirring to break up meat, for 5 minutes or until beef mince brown. Add chicken livers and cook for 2 minutes or until livers change color.
Stir in tomato paste, wine stock and nutmeg. Bring sauce to simmering, cover and simmer for 30-40 minutes or until sauce reduces and thickens.
