پھول سونگھے جانے کیا یاد آ گیا
دل عجب انداز سے لہرا گیا
اس سے پوچھے کوئی چاہت کے مزے
جس نے چاہا اور جو چاہا گیا
ایک لمحہ بن کے عیش جاوداں
میری ساری زندگی پر چھا گیا
غنچۂ دل ہائے کیسا غنچہ تھا
جو کھلا اور کھلتے ہی مرجھا گیا
رو رہا ہوں موسم گل دیکھ کر
میں سمجھتا تھا مجھے صبر آ گیا
یہ ہوا یہ برگ گل کا اہتزاز
آج میں راز مسرت پا گیا
اخترؔ اب برسات رخصت ہو گئی
اب ہمارا رات کا رونا گیا
