Ingredients
  1. 2 pints (U.S. 5 cups) Jersey milk
  2. 4 oz. ground almonds
  3. 3 oz. sugar
  4. ½ teaspoon crushed cardamom seeds
Method
  • Make khoa from the milk following the recipe on page 139. When on the point of setting add the almonds and sugar. Mix well and continue cooking till the mixture comes away from the sides of the pan. Stir continuously. Spread the toffee into a shallow, greased tin. Sprinkle with the crushed cardamom. Cool before cutting into squares.
  • Note: Cooking time 1 hour 20 minutes, To serve 4
