Macaroni With Tomato Sauce

Ingredients: Wholemeal macaroni 500 g
Chunky tomato sauce:-
Olive oil 2 tbsp
Onion , chopped 1
Garlic 1 cloves
Canned Italian- style 2 * 440 g
Tomatoes, undrained and mashed ¼ cup
Chopped basil 1 tbsp
Black pepper

Method: • Cook macaroni in boiling water in a large sauce pans following packets direction, Drain set aside keep warm.
• To make sauce, heat oil in a large frying pan and cook onion for 3 minutes or until soft, stri in garlic, tomatoes and wine and cook, stirring constantly, over a medium heat for 5 minutes. Bring to the boil, then reduce heat and simmer, uncovered for 10-15 minutes or until sauce reduces and thickens.
• Add sauce to hot macaroni and toss to combine. Serve
