Ingredients
  1. 250 gm Butter
    4 Eggs
    1 tsp Vanilla essence
    250 gm Sugar
    1 1/2 cup Flour
    1/2 tsp Soda bi carbonate
    1 tsp Baking powder
    3 tbsp Milk
    2 tbsp Cocoa powder
Method
  • Preheat oven to 220 C. Grease an 8 inch cake tin with some butter. Beat the butter along with the sugar until light and creamy. Separate eggs and add the yolks one at a time into the butter sugar mixture and continue beating till well combined add the vanilla essence and mix it for 30 seconds. In a separate bowl beat the egg whites. Gradually fold the egg whites into the batter. Sieve the flour along with the baking powder and bi crab. Fold the flour mixture into the batter until well combined. Separate the batter into 2 bowls. Milk the cocoa powder along with the milk and add to one of the bowl and mix well to make a dark colored batter. Alternate spoon furls of the light and dark batter in the cake tin until all the batter is used up then using a spatula create a marbled pattern. Place the cake tin in the oven for 25 – 30 minutes until a skewer inserted down the center comes out clean.
