Ingredients
  1. 2 lb. potatoes
  2. 12 oz. onion
  3. 2 cloves garlic
  4. 1-inch fresh root ginger
  5. ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  6. ¾ teaspoon ground cinnamon ¼ teaspoon turmeric powder oil for frying
  7. Salt to taste
Method
  • Peel and chop the potatoes and onions roughly. Crush the garlic and finely mince the ginger. Fry the garlic, ginger, cloves, cinnamon and turmeric in oil for five minutes. Add the onions and fry for five minutes. Add potatoes and salt and cook until potatoes are soft. Serve with Nan and yoghurt.
