Cricket has become an popular sports in all around the world. Despite of that different countries are providing several leagues in which the players of different countries take part on a high peak. Regarding to that the national leagues are also held in which they provide each player to come out with his talent.

Pakistan T20 league, a domestic Twenty20 cricket held in 2017 in Pakistan. This was the fourteenth season of the national T20 cup. The tournament took place in November 2017 at the Rawalpindi cricket stadium. In this tournament eight teams were included for competition from different regions like Faisalabad, FATA, Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar and Rawalpindi respectively from Lahore two teams were included Lahore Blues and Lahore whites.

Some ups and downs also took place as the semi-finals were postponed by PCB due to protest by religious party and further after two days the semi-finals were played. As the main purpose of this tournament was to come up with new talent for international side.

It is rightly said that records are made to be broken, Kamran Akmal the shining star of national T20 cup from Lahore whites, many records had been broke n by Akmal respectively, the highest partnership between him and Salman Butt of 209 runs, beating the best of 2017 runs by Joe Denly and Daniel Bell-Drummond of Kent in 2017 Natwest T20 blast, similarly Akmal became became the first batsman to score 150 runs in a T20 match also hit the most sixes in a domestic T20 match in Pakistan and became the third batsman to make five consecutive fifties inT20 cricket. Akmal also scored 432 runs in this tournament, most among the all players.
 
Kamran Akmal was the player which provide a perfect stand to Lahore whites to survive to the final. As Lahore whites were not able to win the national t20 cup, beaten by Lahore blues. But the inning of Kamran Akmal had left deep impact for the selectors and PCB.

Having to prove himself after being dropped from international side, he has come back strongly than ever.
