Sordid indian policies can turn kasmir into new global war theatre

Kashmir is a stinging reality that can, as it saunters ahead has the likely potential to poison world peace as it skulks around for a durable and peaceful settlement especially after the sinster abduction of peace by India in the last seventy two years.

The cry of reticent kashmiris is echoing around the valley for their undeniable right to freedom. Over the last three years especially after the pals of gloom following the martyrdom of Burhan wani on 8th of July 2016.

Subsequently, India has put its foot on the top gear to axe the resistance of Kashmir by using pellet guns and other war crimes such as gouging eyes of the young men. With over seventy thousand Kashmiris having perished the rebellion is abuzz with a new fury

Burhan wani believed to be an affiliate commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen was unceremoniously killed by the Indian forces which is what is responsible for turning over a new leaf in the History of the Kashmir independent movement.

Analysts around the Globe reproach India in the fullest sound bites possible not to paint the Kashmir catastrophe with a religious ink. The striking down of 35A and Article 370 from the Indian constitution implies annexing Kashmir to the union government and legitimacy of India in a disputed territory through a unilateral stroke of pen. But right now as Kashmir simmers after the heinous high-jacking in the wake of the downing of article 370 and as more people get eliminated it is more than a humble reality that South Asia may turn out to be the doom for the world.

The resistance posed by the Kashmir can be traced to the year 1991, though the intifada began to find life in 1989 and picked up such convoluted and arcane velocity that it took occupying forces by shock and awe.

By 1991 Kashmir seemed inching forward to a complete flight of freedom. The armed resistance pervading through Jammu and Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) showed that Kashmiris had finally come home to the fact that slavery that had swaddled them for decades could be ruptured through the barrel of the gun. But as the logo of various armed movements shows, if not ideologically glued and trailing along a unified command, they come apart over time. And the unraveling of JKLF paid way for other insurgent movements like Hisbul Mujhaideen and later Lashkar e Tayyaba and JASH E MOHAMMAD.

The ongoing spat of violence unleashed by the Indian forces and the upping levels of resistance spawned by the death of Burhan Wani in 2016 is finally playing out as the curtain raiser in the history of Kashmir.

All diplomatic efforts for a peaceful polemic on the Kashmir issue were stifled by India as it called the issue bilateral.

But thanks to the ascendance of balswayamsevak Mr-Modi the issue has earned international eye that it had never been able to gain.

Modi’s efforts at delegitimizing the special status of Kashmir and striking down 35A and 370 and the subsequent demographic changes being injected at the point of gun through the surge of ten thousand troops is a plot that will horribly go wrong. More interestingly on his recent visit to America on 22 of July President Trump left every one yawning as he offered to play the arbiter on the Kashmir issue with Imran Khan.

Surprisingly this vision outlined by Mr. Trump is exactly what the world needs. America is fully familiar with the fact that wars and insurgent movements that ride on the back of religion always morph into diabolical engines of death.

Now that the drums of war are going downbeat in Afghanistan Saffron terror in Kashmir will only embolden the terrorist across South Asia who will chant death were a genocide to begin in Kashmir today.

Roger Cohen writes “Nations, like people may change somewhat, but not in their essential characteristics”. And the world knows that the essential characteristic of Kashmiri people is resistance against the imposed regimes.

Perhaps Modi can learn his part of the lesson from the fact that Jihad or fighting in the way of Allah through religious element is far more stronger, stable and germinated in muslims for over fourteen hundred years so his saffronic pantheon might soon come down if he were to press ahead in Kashmir but not before letting world peace go to predators to feast on.
