Apple, Newton and Doctor

(Saima Qureshi, Lahore)

Apple is not just a fruit but it played an important role in Bubonic Plague Era.

Oh no! Not in medical sciences but in physics, when in 1665 during an outbreak of the bubonic plague, the schools were temporarily closed. Sir Isaac Newton moved back to his childhood home in Woolsthorpe Manor. It was during this period that one day he was in the orchard and saw an apple drop from a tree. There’s no evidence to suggest the fruit actually landed on his head, but Newton’s observation ( unlike us who would have just picked up the apple and started eating) caused him to think about why apples always fall straight to the ground and helped him to eventually come up with his law of universal gravitation.

So talk about the apple, it holds importance in our lives too and that is - An apple a day keeps a doctor away! I also witnessed apple as a tool to keep doctor away .The choice became difficult when I found my doctor very charming and cool .

Health should be one's priority but during lifetime there comes stages when you have to make hard choices.

I mediated and listened to my inner self and finally made my hrad choice. I threw my apple away.....
