Wall of Kindness Wah Cantt

It is an honor for me and my team to celebrate the success of our campaign throughout the city. Our city stands out as one of the most secure and private locations compared to others across the country.

WahCantt, is a cantonment city situated in the north-west of Islamabad and Rawalpindi, boasts the highest literacy rate in Pakistan. It is renowned as one of the most advanced and developed areas in the nation.
As I prepare for my second-year exams, I find solace in the charitable and social work we have undertaken. I vividly remember the days and nights spent with our dedicated group of volunteers, tirelessly working towards helping the impoverished. The joy, challenges, risks, and love we experienced during this journey will forever remain etched in our memories.

A few weeks ago, we initiated the "Wall Of Kindness" or "Deewar e Mehrubani" project in WahCantt. This remarkable charitable endeavor involves attaching spare clothes hangers outside houses, encouraging the public to donate various useful items such as clothing and footwear.

The concept of the "Wall Of Kindness" originated in Iran through an anonymous individual and quickly gained popularity throughout the country. The idea subsequently spread across social media platforms in China and Pakistan. AsadLodhi from Peshawar introduced the "Wall Of Kindness" in Peshawar, which led to its expansion to other cities including Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, Quetta, Nowshera, and now WahCantt. A group of students in WahCantt initiated this idea through social media, and we connected through Facebook. Following a meeting attended by a large number of students, we formed two groups. One group, backed by a political party, demanded the involvement of political activities, while we firmly believed that this endeavor should remain purely social, to avoid criticism from other political parties in the city. The city's board initially hesitated to grant us permission due to security concerns associated with this social initiative. Consequently, we decided to seek sponsorships and public assistance to acquire a wall for our project.

Every evening, we met and approached various individuals for support, but unfortunately, we encountered no fruitful outcomes. As days passed, opposition against our group grew stronger. However, we remained steadfast in our belief in the Almighty and our mission's ultimate success. Some of our sponsors were primarily motivated by personal gain.

Fortunately, an old friend contacted us and offered the outside wall of his home for our project. Overjoyed, we convened a high-level meeting in a hall and announced the date for the commencement of the "Wall Of Kindness" initiative. On that day, numerous individuals arrived with generous donations. All our accomplishments were the result of the prayers from our parents and the community. Despite the challenging circumstances we encountered, we made rapid progress.

In conclusion, the journey of establishing the "Wall Of Kindness" in WahCantt has been a testament to the power of unity, resilience, and compassion. Despite facing obstacles and opposition, our team, driven by the desire to serve the underprivileged, remained unwavering in our mission. Through the support of generous donors, the dedication of our volunteers, and the prayers of our loved ones, we were able to transform a simple wall into a symbol of kindness and hope. As we continue to witness the impact of this initiative on the lives of those in need, we are reminded that even in the face of adversity, acts of goodwill have the power to inspire change and create a more compassionate society for all.
